SURFSKI is HUGE in the southern hemisphere and it’s popularity in the north is growing.
Popular events such as the ICON classic in north Devon, has been running for over ten years. It’s common to see surfskis in hasslers and flat water races, side by side with K1.
From flat, sheltered water to full on open ocean, deep swell surfing, a surfski will be at home.
Helped by an under-stern rudder (Directional Stability, Responsiveness and surfability) and a paddler position which promotes good technique and posture, you’ll be gliding around in no time.
Stable skis and Elite skis alike, they provide a huge amount of fun and generally speaking they move faster than equivalent sea kayak craft.
Come down to Plymouth to try out some top brands and join us on a training evening or day.
Surfskis are the best way to connect with the ocean, immerse oneself in flow state, gain fitness and technical skill. What are you waiting for!?
We have local circuits and TT’s we would welcome people to try. Pop into the shack to find out the exact details and buoyage. Join a training session with us or come out on a guided trip. If you wish to undertake the route yourself, make sure you have all of the correct gear/knowledge to keep yourself safe!
Check the following images and the listed times of the paddlers in time order.
Pictured routes start and finish, standing on Tinside beach however the new starting point is the post, just south of the Lido/attached to the Lido swimming pool, Plymouth Hoe.
